Negative taken of Maria Estelle Miller Johnston from the book "How I Succeeded In My Business" by Rev. A.H. Miller published in 1911. Maria Estelle Miller was born in April 1888 to Rev. Abraham H. and Eliza Ann Ross Miller of Helena, Phillips County, Arkansas. Maria attended Helena public schools, Fisk University, and graduated from the Commercial Department of Arkansas Baptist College in 1908. Maria Estelle Miller married Dr. David A.E. Johnston, a dentist in Helena, Arkansas in 1910. As of 1911, Maria and David Johnston (b. 1879) had one daughter, Mercy Ann Johnston.
